Biography

Dr. AvinashChandra’scurrent research interests are non-Newtonian/ Newtonian fluid flow, transport through porous media, industrial scale residence time distribution (RTD) analysis, application of radiotracer, extraction of valuable compounds (essential oil, bioactive molecules, etc.) from the natural herbs / aromatic plants, etc.

Dr. Chandra has undertaken 03 sponsored research projectsfunded byvarious agencies (UGC, DAE-BRNS, etc.). Theindustry-oriented project was with the collaboration of BARC and Satia Industries Ltd. Muktsar (Punjab). A pilot scale pulp digester wasalso designed, fabricated and installed in the departmentfor future research.
