Biography
Dr. Sushma Kumari is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Chemical Engineering, at Thapar institute of Engineering and Technology. She completed her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna in 2022 and obtained her M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur.

Her research focuses on the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with biological substances, with particular emphasis on dielectric spectroscopy and microwave-assisted processing of biomaterials. Her work integrates experimental investigations and computational modeling to understand thermal and non-thermal effects of microwave radiation on biological systems.

Research Interests

Electromagnetic radiation interaction with biological materials; Dielectric spectroscopy; Computational modeling and simulation; AI/ML applications in CFD and dielectric behavior prediction.
