Biography

Dr. Haripada Bhunia is Professor of Chemical Engineering, at Department of Chemical Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, Punjab, India. He has done Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur. He has an experience of over 24 years in research and teaching; guided 36 masters and 16 Ph.D. theses. Presently, he is guiding 03 Ph.D. students on the topics related to biodegradable polymer and composites, pollution control, CO2 capture and utilization. He has 110 publications in peer reviewed journals, 81 International and National conference papers, 4 patentsawarded and 2 books to his credit and numerous research projects from several funding agencies like AICTE, DST, CSIR, DAE-BRNS and industrial giants in the area of polymer and nanocomposites, CO2 capture and utilization, advanced oxidation processes and pollution control. He has also been awarded international travel grant from DST-SERB, IAEA, TEQIP-II, Govt. of India for participating in the international conferences in various countries like, Australia, Austria, Japan and South Korea.
