Biography

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Gupta is working as an assistant professor in chemical engineering department, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics, fluid flow and heat transfer. He has published number of papers in peer-reviewed journals and guided two M.Tech. theses.

Education

  • Ph.D. from Thapar Institute of Engg. & Tech., Patiala (Thesis title: Mixed convection heat transfer from semi-circular cylinders in a vertical channel)
  • M. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IT-BHU (Now known as IIT-BHU), Varanssi with first class honours
  • B.E. in Chemical Engineering  from M.R.E.C. (Now known as MNIT), Jaipur with first class honours

Experience: 

  1. July 2008 – June 2009: Lecturer, Chemical Engineering Department, JNU, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
  2. July 2009 – Present: Assistant Professor, Chemical Engineering Department, TIET, Patiala.
